Biography

I am originally from a small town in Southern Illinois, and having received my undergraduate and graduate degrees in Speech-Language Pathology, I set out to travel the world. After working in New Zealand, I returned to Illinois for a while, then spent time between Alabama, Louisiana and Mississippi before returning home and ultimately changing course completely by graduating from medical school from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine (Rockford campus). After a surgical intern year back in Birmingham, AL, and an anesthesiology residency and critical care anesthesiology fellowship in Omaha, NE, I am now a practicing Anesthesiologist with interest in multidisciplinary care, high-risk Obstetric anesthesia and care, high-risk surgical anesthesia and care, and geriatric care/research.
